RERA Maharera Launches QR Code To Access Project Details
For the first time, MahaRERA has presented QR codes to assist homebuyers in locating transparent information. By perusing a QR code on project registration certificates, homebuyers can now contact critical information for example construction progress, and project completion problems, among others. In an innovative move, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has thrown QR code to deliver transparent information to homebuyers with a single scan. Lately, MahaRERA issued the first project registration documentation with a QR code to the Gera Planet of Joy Project in Wagholi, Pune. All new projects registered with the Authority will convey a QR code, and older project registration certificates will also feature the code in a phased manner.

How can buyers contact project details through QR codes?
Homebuyers can easily access vital project information by scanning the QR code on the project registration certificate, which is obtainable on the MahaRERA portal. The scan produces relevant information, such as the project name, organizer's details, completion date, registration date, statutory approvals attained, and more.

What kind of data can be availed by perusing the QR code?
Homebuyers can also obtain important information by scanning the QR code, including any modifications made to the project's authorized plan, any validity extensions granted, and any recovery warrants issued against the project. The specifics of complaints and warrants issued against the project can also be used by buyers to learn more about its financial situation and on-time delivery.

What kind of information is included in Form 5?
Furthermore, homebuyers can now obtain critical information under Form 5. As per RERA regulations, developers must offer updates on construction progress and financial updates every quarter and half-yearly basis. Homebuyers can check this data by inspection the registration certificates of newly recruited projects and scanning the QR code. Rendering to a MahaRERA official, the registration certificates for older projects will also be efficient with the QR code over time.

MahaRERA was the first to launch a Conciliation Forum, another mechanism for resolving complaints. Home buyers and designers can meet with MahaRERA-appointed conciliators and resolution protests out of court. MahaRERA also presented the practice of geo-tagging projects with information about the social infrastructure adjacent a registered project.
